If you are not available at the time of delivery, GLS will first attempt to deliver your parcel to a neighbour who is willing to accept and sign for it.
If no neighbour is available, a notification card will be left and your parcel will be taken to the nearest GLS ParcelShop. You will then have nine working days to collect your parcel by presenting valid photo ID (for example, a passport or identity card).
If there is no ParcelShop nearby, your parcel will be returned to the local depot, where a second delivery attempt will be made. In all cases, you will receive a notification card with the relevant details.
If the second delivery attempt is also unsuccessful, your parcel will be stored at the depot for ten working days. During this time, you may contact GLS or arrange collection from the depot. If no action is taken within this period, the parcel will be returned to the sender.
